Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce

The Morristown Chamber and Tourism Bureau needed an update to their branding and website. They previously had the Chamber, Tourism and Economic Development divisions all in one site which created confusion to the visitor and also resulted in lower Search Engine Rankings.

The Challenge

Morristown, TN is a growing community in East Tennessee with beautiful mountain vistas, large and expansive lakes, seemingly endless natural resources, and numerous historical sites. The Morristown Chamber and Tourism Bureau needed an update to their branding and website. They previously combined the Chamber, Tourism and Economic Development divisions all in one site. This created much confusion to the visitor and also resulted in lower Search Engine Rankings. In addition, their logo was dated and it no longer reflected the full benefits of their organization and the community. As with many of our clients, they also needed to be able to update all aspects of their website with an easy-to-use Content Management System. Luckily, they came to the right place!

The Solution

We started by creating a new logo and corporate ID that fully represented all that Morristown had to offer. The logo was then featured prominently on all branding materials for signage, presentations and on the website. We felt it was important to separate Tourism and The Chamber divisions because they were trying to attract two different audiences. We did this by distinctly branding each section.

While the Economic and Development divisions were clean, bright and corporate, the tourism site was more playful; complete with textures that reflect the area's natural landscape and historical roots. Both sites currently utilize our proprietary Hands-On™ Content Management System for updating text, images, videos and animations. They also have the ability to add unlimited numbers of pages to their site, making future growth much more manageable.

The Results

Morristown Chamber and Tourism have seen large increases in traffic to their website and have received many positive comments on their new branding. They have also increased membership and tourism groups since launching the sites.
