The Background

Last summer we were chuggin' along when we heard about an opportunity to pitch a campaign theme to Ripley's Aquarium. We thought it was an amazing opportunity, so we jumped on it, developing several taglines and campaign themes. The meeting went great, but as one of several companies to present we knew it was going to be a while before we heard back. Much to our surprise, we got a call 15 minutes after we left the presentation room. WE GOT IT! Not only did the executives choose to go with TradeMark, but they cancelled their remaining meetings for the next two days! We were incredibly honored, but it was time to go to work.

The Goals

As we met again with the Ripleys' marketing team we realized that the campaign involved more than just the Aquarium. Ripley's Gatlinburg consists of nine attractions including: Ripley's Aquarium, the Haunted Adventure, the Believe It or Not Museum, the Moving Theater, the Candy Factory, the Mirror Maze, Old MacDonald's Putt-Putt, Davy Crockett's Putt-Putt, and the Guinness Museum. Thats a lot…and they all needed new promotional materials. I'm talkin' billboards, brochures and rack cards. The primary goal was to grab attention, so bold colors with high contrast were a must.

The Results

After about nine months of developing concepts, revising, finalizing and printing the designs are just now making their way into circulation. Believe it or not, the official, grand total, number of designs (both pitched and finalized) came to 106!!! In all honesty, that's too many pictures to upload, so...sorry. Good news though, I did upload some of our favorites below…

That's all folks...for now anyways. We'll keep you updated during summer 2013 as we look forward to doing more work with this great company!
